[Laughs.] I thought this was just a rumor, but I’ve had people ask me the same, just friends from Europe asking, “Are you in?!” It sounds interesting, but then again, I don’t know what will happen. I want to sit back and take a breath after all this happens and keep quiet for a bit but see what happens. Because I’ve had a few people come in with a lot of different movie and TV [ideas], and there’s a lot of things that are permeating, but I don’t know what I’m going to do next. It’s nice to see you take a look at your archival clothing storage units in the You gotta be f%^&ing kidding shirt In addition,I will do this documentary. Of course, when we last spoke, you talked about feeling most comfortable when you style yourself. As people continue to be obsessed with your ’90s look, especially how would you describe your personal style now? Now my style is really jeans and a t-shirt. I’m very simple here, and when I can, I’m barefoot, so I run around like a kid here. But I love looking through some of my clothes and seeing all the cool stuff I’ve collected over the years and that I take a lot with me when I travel. I’m just determined to style myself and put everything together, and that doesn’t have to mean anything. I’m not a big trend follower. I don’t have any social media on my phone. I don’t track anything. There is a quote by EE Cummings. [“Being none other than yourself—in a world that is working so hard, day and night, to make you other people—means fighting the hardest battle any human being can fight.” Anyone can fight.”] I have great respect for Vogue and especially for history telling people what style is, but I don’t think I’ve ever had style. And even Andreas [Kronthaler], husband of Vivienne [Westwood], he always said I was a difficult person to dress, like clothes make me uncomfortable. But he also said Vivienne was a difficult woman to dress. Vivienne has her own style.
